Happy Holidays!

We have been so busy! It’s crazy. Jordan was called to be Elder’s Quorum President in November. It’s keeping him very busy and he is starting to really enjoy it. It’s been a little different staying in town every weekend but we are also starting to enjoy getting to know a lot more people in our ward. Me- well right now I am calling free and OK with it because I have a bit of a habit of booking us for 20 different events every week. It keeps us very busy.

We spent Thanksgiving up at Sundance with Jordan’s family and had a good time. My Grandpa was put on hospice Thanksgiving Day so that put a bit of a damper on the day but I am grateful that I have such a great, supportive & patient husband to hold me when I am upset. I love my Grandpa with all my heart and will miss him dearly. I am also very grateful that I understand the plan of salvation and know that I will see him again. It’s now just a waiting game until he passes on. I will be relieved for him when he passes and is able to have his “working body” back.

We have been enjoying many Christmas parties this past month. Visiting with old friends and eating great food is my idea of a great time. Last night we got together with a bunch of people from my old ward in Orem and hung out and reminisced about old & new times. I love the fact that I won’t see some of these people for another year and we can still pick up where we left off. Thanks Devry for throwing a fabulous party! I am so grateful to have such great friends!

Jordan, Hillary & I head out to California on Friday! We couldn’t be more excited to have a west coast Christmas! We are flying in Friday night and heading straight to In-N-Out (this is just a standing tradition with my Dad) then we are staying in Anaheim for the night because we are going to Disneyland on Saturday!!!!! It will be Landon’s (my nephew) first time. I think that my parents are more excited than any of us to go & take their grandson. Then we are headed up to the desert for Christmas. Jordan & my Dad are making African Curry for Christmas Eve dinner and I am making cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. Any of you California people are invited over to the Tucker’s for food on Christmas Eve! We are going to be spending the entire week in California and I am so excited!!!!!! We haven’t been home for almost a year! It will be nice to be with my family & to go see my Grandparetns. I have a feeling there will be a lot of Wii competitions, food, friends and fun @ the Tucker's! Saturday after Christmas we fly to Vegas to go to St. George with our friends. This is a tradition that we started a few years ago. We are so lucky to have such great friends!!!!!!! I really feel so blessed.

Sorry for the lack of updates! I will be better. I will post some pictures when we have time. Probably in California! We also apologize for the non-existent Christmas cards. Thank you to everyone who has sent us a card & picture of your adorable growing families! We love them!

We wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Love,

Jordan & Kimberly

I've been tagged.....................

The Rules: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags six people and posts their names then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Have fun!I've been tagged by my friend Audrey, thanks girl!

1. I have loved Jordan since day two of being with him. He makes me the happiest girl in the world. I really can't imagine life without him.

2. I'm secretly really baby hungry. Shhh...it's a secret. But don't get to excited because I'm not sure when this will happen :)

3. I love to bake, but only on Sundays! I know it's weird but I love coming home from church and baking treats and them sharing them with our friends or taking them to random people in our ward. It makes me happy!

4. I get really, really moody when I am hot & tired. Like it's bad. Just ask Jordan :)

5. Most of you know I am NOT a morning person. This is really bad too. I usually snooze for about 1/2 hour (or more). I used to have 3 alarms but currently only have two. In the beginning this used to bug Jordan, but now he sleeps right through my alarms. I really was not made to wake up early and be to work by 8. What happened?!?!?!

6. I hate going down to our basement. It's creepy and I hate it! Jordan thinks this is the most ridiculous fear ever. I make him go do my laundry with me when it is dark. Ha ha (I'm fine in the day) It's totally ridiculous. Another fear of mine is cemetery's. I used to not be able to even drive by them but Jordan relieved me of this fear by driving by one twice a day. At first I hated it, now it doesn't bother me. He has yet to get me to go there and watch the sunset though! HA!

Those are some things about me, maybe you didn't want to know and maybe you now know that I'm a little crazy. Either way I'm tagging: Julie, Stefanie, Devry, Sunny,Erin and Heidi.

Shut up & Spoon Me!

Well anyone that knows me, knows that I just say pretty much anything I want! Well......we have a new yogurt place in town and Jordan & I have been frequent visitors. We got to know the owners and when we were in Spoon Me last Saturday night I had a conversation with Ryan & Bub (the owner's) that went something like this:
Kim: So has any replaced their diet with a Spoon Me yogurt?
Bub: Not that we know of.
Kim: I want to be your Jared (from subway)
Bub: Really, we have been wanting someone to do the Spoon Me diet
Kim: Well, I am your girl!
Ryan:Really, you want to do it?
Kim: YES!!!! I want to lose 30 lbs. before I have a baby. I can walk here everyday at lunch and replace my lunch with a yogurt in conjunction with my regular workout.
Ryan: Great, you start Monday.
And so I started Monday! So far so good. This is my 3rd day and I have never been more exctied about a diet! I suggest everyone try Spoon Me. I will be tracking my progess daily and have a weigh in every Monday morning! I will let you know how it goes! Please show your support to Spoon Me & myself by stopping by and spooning! You won't be disappointed.

Snowbird

For our anniversary Jordan surprised me with a weekend up at Snowbird. Friday night it started snowing and didn't stop until Saturday night. It is absolutely beautiful up here and we just may make it a tradition. We have had a great time sleeping in, walking around Oktoberfest, shopping, swimming in the heated pool, lounging in the hot tub and enjoying the snow falling on us! We have also been enjoying the meals that Jordan has made us. He really is so amazing and I was so excited to get to come up here for the weekend. We will be going home tomorrow! Here are some pictures from our weekend so far!

Our first anniversary

Time fly's when you are having fun. I can't believe it has been a year since Jordan and I were married. We have had such a fun first year. I am more grateful for Jordan everyday. He is such a wonderful husband & best friend. I don't think that I could be more happy or lucky! Here is to many, many more years to come baby! I love you so, so, so much!

You might be a "Utahan" if.......

You keep your clothes in "Chester Drawers"
You don't pronounce T's in the middle of words. (Moun'n, Lay'n) If there is a G at the end of a word you treat it as if it were silent.
You know what Fry Sauce is made of.
You go to the duck pond to feed the Seagulls.
Green Jell-o with cabbage mixed in doesn't seem strange.
You can pronounce Tooele.
The U is not just a letter - Neither is the Y.
You have actually eaten funeral potatoes.
You've gotten both heat and frost burns off your car's door handle in the same month.
You are not surprised to hear words like "Darn", "Fetch", "Flip", "Oh, My Heck" and "Shoot".
Your tulips get snowed on three times after they come up and twice more after they bloom.
The largest liquor store is the state government.
You can go skiing and play golf on the same day.
30% humidity is muggy and almost unbearable.
Somewhere in your family tree is a polygamist.
You know the difference between a 'Steak House' and a 'Stake House'.
You've broken down on the highway and somebody stops to help you
You can see the stars at night
You have a bumper sticker that says "Families are Forever."
You were an aunt or uncle before you were three.
Your spouse's mother was pregnant at your wedding.
Your family considers a trip to McDonalds a night out.
Your kids believe the deer hunt is a national holiday.
You consider a temple recommend a credit reference.
At least two of your salad bowls are at the homes of neighbors.
You wonder why fire truck drivers honk when you drive 35 mph in the left lane on the freeway.
There is a similarity between a ward basketball game and the LA riots.
You think Jack Daniels is a country western singer.
You negotiate prices at a garage sale.

You can make Jell-O salad without the recipe.
You've heard about BYU football in a testimony meeting.
You have two gallons of ice cream in your freezer at all times.
Your father-in-law thinks Ronald Reagan was a liberal or a member of your family wrote in Lavell Edwards for president in the last election.
Hotel rooms all have a Book of Mormon.
You buy your wardrobe at the local grocery superstore.
Schools stay open, even if two feet of snow fall s over night, but closes for the opening of hunting season.
People wear shorts and T-shirts if the temperature rises above 32 degrees
The most popular public transportation system is a ski lift.
In-state college football rivalries are bigger than the Super Bowl.
You don't have to breathe cigarette smoke until you walk outside a building.
Every driveway has a minivan and a pickup truck.
When you buy a new vehicle, cigarette lighters are optional equipment but ski racks are standard.
More movies are filmed in your town than in Hollywood
You make a toast with red punch at your wedding reception.
You have more raw wheat stored than some Third World countries.

Your idea of a wild party is a six pack of Pepsi and a PG-13 movie.

You and all your friends come to your mother for a haircut in her kitchen.
You actually get half of these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Utah

I want to know if any of you agreed with this! (Even if you are a blog stocker, tell me)

My McWeekend

So, as you can see our Saturday was full of excitement! Earlier last week our friend Russell called and invited us to go out to the races in Toole. I immediately declined, because I had no idea what it would be like. However, at work on Thursday I was listening to the radio and heard that Patrick Dempsey would be racing at the Grand Prix in Toole, Utah. I called Jordan to tell him that I changed my mind and that we were going. I then called Russell to tell him that we were coming. Saturday came and we arrived at the race. I had no idea what to expect but it was really fun. We were greeted by Russell's cousin who works at the sports park with our V.I.P passes. Now, I don't think that I could ever go to a race again without the VIP pass! The pass got us into a suite where there was a buffet lunch followed by a buffet dinner! Nice. We also go a track pass to ride the go karts. Not like the trafalga go karts, like real fast ones. As we were waiting in line to ride Hillary said to me "I really feel like I am missing out on something over there" just then McDreamy pulls up in his golf cart to ride on the same track we were! We immediately called Stefanie and Hillary tried to explain her excitement to Stefanie. Of course at that moment I didn't have the camera. Well we all got on the track and as we were leaving McDreamy was coming by again in his golf cart and Hillary then waved her hand and said "Patrick, Patrick, can we please get a picture with you? He said yes, and there you go! We got pictures and then walked down to where his pit crew was. We hung out there for a while and Hillary chatted it up with one of his Pitt crew members for like 1/2 hour. All in all it was a really GREAT Saturday!
P.S. I loved the race and being at the race track. The cars were pretty cool too!

NASTY

Today when I got home Jordan & I went to look at our lovely garden! I stepped onto the grass and apparently stepped on a praying mantis! YUCK! Lets just say it was on my foot. At first I thought a bird just pooped on me so, Jordan was telling me to shake it off. Well, it wouldn't come off! I immediately told him to get the hose and wash it off of me. The praying mantis was flopping around trying to stay alive.....Jordan put it out of his misery. This is what they look like.............

August has been a busy month! We had family in town, Hillary moved to Utah to hang out with us, OK OK and to go to school!, Jordan's cousin, Jens, from Germany came to visit us for a week before he went into the MTC. We loved getting to know him and showing him all around SLC. We took him to Sundance, Temple Square, Sushi, a Baseball game, golfing, shopping & to Ben & Jerry's because apparently it is really expensive in Europe. I got to visit with Devry & Lindsay, enjoy great Indian food and conversation, we bought a BBQ & we had to speak in church! Needless to say, we are tired and we just woke up from a nap! Ha ha! Here are some pictures from the past few weeks of our lives!

After a great week with Jens , Jordan had to take him to the MTCJens had never been golfing, so Jordan was happy to show him how!
We took Jens to his first baseball game! We all had a great time and ate yummy hot dogs!

We went to the Bee's game & took Oliver. He LOVES the BeeOur new BBQOur first meal on the BBQ

P.S. I am still obsessed with Grey's Anatomy! I LOVED season two and can't wait for season 3 to come out on DVD on September 11th. However, everyone keeps telling me that it is not that great of a season, I am not taking any opinions with me when we go to watch! Anyone who wants to watch season 3 with me I plan on watching it in one weekend! Yes, this is true. This is how we watch LOST as well! It is most fun!

A WONDERFUL weekend in Sundance

Last weekend Jordan & I decided that we needed a mini vacation. So, luckily his Uncle owns a cabin in Sundance and we were able to go stay their. Thanks Uncle Parry! Friday night we had Dean & Ali over and had dinner and played Here & Now Monopoly until 1:30 A.M. SO FUN! Saturday we slept in......late then sat in the sauna for a while. Sunday was just about the same amount of laziness! I need those weekends every once in a while. It seems like we are always on the go, so it was nice to just do nothing for a change. For the wonderful food that we partook of in Sundance check out Jordan's web site www.eatgreatsaltlake.com
